The Trust
Kovai Kongunattu Arakkattalai
The public trust behind Kongunadu's nursing and allied-health colleges — and their hospital-backed training.
A public educational trust
Kovai Kongunattu Arakkattalai is the public trust behind the Kongunadu institutions in Coimbatore. It exists to make honest, hands-on healthcare education accessible to students from the Kongu region and beyond.
Founded by a family of clinicians
The trust was founded by Dr. P. Raju, with managing trustee Mrs. Vijayalakshmi Raju and trustees Dr. Karthikeyan Raju and Arthi Karthikeyan. Its work is guided by people who have practised medicine, not just administered it.
What the trust runs
Kongunadu College of Nursing (KCN) — nursing degrees and diplomas.
Kongunadu Institute of Allied Health Sciences (KIAHS) — seven allied-health B.Sc degrees.
Both train at the trust's associated hospital, Kongunad Hospital (KnH), so students learn on real clinical technology from the second year.
Our approach
We state only what our certificates support, we don't inflate placement claims, and we keep classes small. Flawless, honest craft — in teaching and in what we publish — is the standard we hold ourselves to.
